Wines2Whales bike courier
Bike courier for FNB Wines2Whales
Riding one of the three Wines2Whales races this November? Courier your bike to the Helderberg before your race and have it sent home from the Overberg afterwards.
Three races, one route
Wines2Whales runs as three separate three-day races over about ten days, so your delivery date depends on which race you are riding. Count back at least 8 business days from the day you need your bike, not from the start of the first race.
For 2026, the race is set to start at Lourensford Wine Estate in Somerset West and finish near Hermanus, riding through the Elgin Valley and the Helderberg on the way.
Where to have it delivered
- Your accommodation in Somerset West, Stellenbosch or the Strand.
- Friends or family in Cape Town if you are staying with them.
- A bike shop in Somerset West that has agreed to receive it.
Getting it home
After the finish, box the bike and leave it at your accommodation in Hermanus, or wherever it ends up, for the return collection. The return collection address can be different from where we delivered it. A remote-area surcharge may apply for some Overberg addresses and is shown before you pay.
Riding on an e-bike? E-bikes are R1,000 one way. The battery may need prior approval and special handling, so read our e-bike courier guide and WhatsApp us before you book.

Questions riders ask
Which race should I count back from?
The one you are riding. If your race starts later in the ten days, your collection can be later too, but allow at least 8 business days.
Can I send my kit too?
Yes. Add a kit bag (R350) to the same booking. It travels as its own parcel with its own waybill.
Is there still time for the 2026 race?
For the first race, book collection by Monday 26 October 2026. For later races you have a few more days. If you are short on time, WhatsApp us on 068 608 1231 before you book.
